My experience of Bella Mia was very good. I hadn't eaten at their new location in McAllen before as I had only eaten at their Edinburg location once. I must say the food was absolutely delicious and the portion size was huge. I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and my wife ordered the Chicken Picatta and a Caesar Salad. I had water and my wife had an unsweet tea. In regards to the Alfredo pasta it was such a warm and appetizing dish and the ingredients you could tell were very fresh. I'm not sure if they make their own pasta although it was very good. The chicken was well grilled, I would just ask for them to season it a bit more with some salt and pepper. My wife really enjoyed her Chicken Picatta and I tried a bit although I'm not a huge lemon fan for those that are this plate might be up your alley. They bring out fresh toasted bread to the table and our waitress was very nice and courteous. We were the first people in the restaurant although I couldn't believe they didn't have more clientele. The restaurant is in a beautiful plaza and I hope they do a bit more advertising because this restaurant is one I will be frequenting from now on. Prices were comparable to an Olive Garden. I would suggest to the owner to get some fried calamari on the menu and maybe offer some garlic knots as I think they would really hit it out of the park if these options are offered. The only negative I would have to say were a few fruit flies that kept bugging us although they are right next to a courtyard so I'm sure this was something that will be corrected as we did bring it to the attention of the waitress. All in all from a scale of 1-10, I would give it a high 8.2. I will definitely be coming back and we really enjoyed it as I'm sure others will as well. P.S. if you are sitting at a round table please be careful as they are heavy rod iron tables and if you aren't careful you could really injure your knees.

My parents and i came to eat here and it is true when they say you won’t ever go to olive garden again. Delicious light sauce and AMAZING caesar salads hand tossed. I’ve never seen my stepdad finish a salad. I HIGHLY recommend this place they were all so friendly, and the chef helped us out personally. We left impressed!

Bella Mía is a little hidden gem. Best pasta in our area. Pasta is fresh and the marinara sauce is flavorful. This ain’t no Prego sauce! So, if you like canned sauce, turn away. I got to experience the Gnocchi and the Bella Mia pasta (pink vodka sauce) and both were hot and delicious. The entire staff is attentive (whether it’s their table or not). The atmosphere does need a little more work as lacks ambiance. It could be easy to dismiss based on how the restaurant looks but the food is delicious and shareable portions.

Sooo yummy! My favorite Italian restaurant in the RGV. I recommend the Panchetta Carbonara & Angel Hair Pasta with veggies and pink vodka sauce!

What a beautiful restaurant and food oh me oh my... My highest compliments to the chef. We came on Friday like at 130 pm and it was empty . Which was a plus the waitress made feel right home and even the chef came out and talked to us let us know about his new dish. Which the dish I ordered shrimp pasta with artichokes.. 😋..I would definitely come again. The food was excellent like if it made for royalty... Happy Health to all....

My family and I have been coming to this place for a little over two years. The service is always amazing - the wait staff is always attentive and makes sure drinks are refilled and nothing else is needed. The food is incredibly good, last night we had the gnocchi appetizer for the first time and everything including the sauce was perfect. I had the lasagna (blurry photo since I was too hungry ahhh couldn’t wait), and my gf had the shrimp scampi. Both dishes were cooked perfectly! Atmosphere is nice and quiet, perfect for a date night or causal family dining.

We were in a hurry today between doctor appointments but we wanted to try this restaurant. Very happy we did. We were greeted on entry and we knew what we wanted…eggplant parmigiana. We got the appetizer portion and split it. It came with 4 pieces of garlic toast. I also ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink. Total bill less than $17.00. We both had plenty to eat. It was very delicious. I am a really good cook and this dish was as good as what I make. Uncommon! We will return again next week when we aren’t in a hurry!

My friend Miro recommended Bella Mia, so I had to go. The place was great, clean, quiet. Food was fresh and delicious. They bring out small garlic bread that is delicious. Service was great, server was very kind and knowledgeable. I would go again.

My friends and I had our end of year dinner here, and it was perfect! We each brought gifts, and, without asking, we were told we could use one of the empty tables to place the gifts. Gina was our server. The service was great, and the food was delicious! I had the chicken marsala and tried the Italian cream cake. I've included pictures of my friend's entrees. The food actually tastes homemade and does not make you feel bloated. I will be back to try other food items. 😊

Portions were very generous. Staff were friendly. The meatballs tasted different than what I usually season them with but overall, nice place and the price is very reasonable.
